Chooks-to-Go: The Take-Home Ulam of Choice for Moms On-the-Go

6:46 PM

Busy moms (and dads) have to go through a daily dilemma of thinking what food to serve to their family. The struggle is real especially for working mothers who barely have time left to cook. What with the unexpected overtime, the horrendous traffic situation, and all the other things that makes reaching home in time to be able to feed the family such a challenge.

Fortunately, there is Chooks-to-Go, the take-home ulam of choice for moms-on-the-go, to the rescue.

Moms-on-the-Go Event

In recognition of every Filipino working mom's unwavering ways of showing love, Chooks-to-Go held the Moms-on-the-Go event. It was held at Edsa Shangri-La Manila last October 12, 2016. The event was hosted by "Mars" hosts, Suzie Entrata-Abrera and Camille Prats.

Mom Challenges

Suzie and Camille had the chance to talk with equally busy mom Delamar Arias. It was a very lively talk of women sharing how they get to juggle work, kids, and marriage. Of course, the topic of what food to serve to the family occupied a big chunk of the discussion. This is not at all surprising since we all know just how important food is to the well-being of any family.

The Man Behind Chooks-to-Go

Behind ever successful product is a man or woman who believes that it will work. For Chooks-to-Go, that man is Ronald Ricaforte Mascariñas. He is the president of Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc. (BAVI) which operates Chooks-to-Go. He says, “Chooks-to-Go appreciates every Filipino mother’s effort to provide food for the family. We want to support this by providing on-the-go moms with an affordable but special take-home ‘ulam’ option, an oven-roasted chicken that’s healthy, juicy, and delicious.”

BAVI is one of the country’s largest poultry integrators that provide clean, healthy, and affordable poultry products that enable moms to work their magic in the kitchen. Aside from the very popular Chooks-to-Go products like the oven-roasted chicken served without the need for sauce and the juicy liempo, fresh and ready-to-cook products are also being offered. This is the same company behind Uling Roasters which has the very catchy slogan "Di raw masyado masarap, pero pwede na".

Vic Sotto: Newest Chooks-to-Go Brand Ambassador

During the Moms-on-the-Go event, Vic Sotto was introduced as the newest Chooks-to-Go brand ambassador. It was also the perfect time to introduce the latest brand campaign "Hindi Ka Nag-uuwi ng Basta-basta Lang na Ulam", featuring the latest endorser. Vic has lived up to his moniker "Bossing" by commanding the authority of a person trusted by Filipinos for everyday products.

“When you say ‘ready-to-go’ and ‘quality food’, it should come with a great serving, taste, and nutrition. Importante ‘yun kasi hindi puwedeng basta-basta lang ang maiuwing pagkain para sa pamilya,” said Vic. “Kung gusto mo ng manok, there’s Chooks-to-Go. Malaman ang manok nila, hindi basta-basta. And the best part—‘pag hinain mo na, ‘yun na ‘yun, hindi mo na kailangan ng sauce.”

As an admirer of hardworking Filipinos, especially moms, Bossing Vic recognizes the efforts made in order to provide food on the table. “Basta hardworking, ako’y saludo, especially for moms because they exert double effort,” the actor said. “That’s why for the times when they can’t cook and kids want delicious food, dumaan ka lang ng Chooks-to-Go, okay ka na.”

Practical, affordable, and delicious food to-go, Chooks-to-Go’s superior-quality, oven-roasted chicken goodness brings a fresh and healthy ulam fix to many Filipino households, which, even Vic could not escape. “Personally, I didn’t think twice about promoting this product because Chooks-to-Go is also my wife’s favorite,” Sotto admitted. “Aside from the taste, the price of one whole chicken for the family is reasonable—kayang-kaya eh. Ayos ka na, nag-enjoy ka na, nasarapan ka pa, at nakatipid ka pa!”

“We are very excited to have Vic as our endorser because he really believes in the products he promotes,” said BAVI president Ronald Mascariñas. “With Chooks-to-Go and Bossing together, we have a great opportunity to support hardworking moms with a go-to take-home ulam of choice that’s affordable, healthy, and delicious.”

Take-Home Ulam of Choice

Chooks-to-Go gives working moms a helping hand in continuing their hindi lang basta-basta loving ways, as the go-to, top-of-mind ulam of choice that’s masarap kahit walang sauce.

My Say

It is not easy to be a working mom. We want the best for our family but most of the time, circumstances don't work with us. Guilt and exhaustion usually sets in even if we try our best.

That said, let us be comforted with the fact that there is no perfect mom. What we can do is to give it our best. Of course, there is no question about the preference for home-cooked food but buying take-out food does not make us less of a mom. We just have to choose which ones to bring home to our family.
